The week between 09/28/2020 until 10/02/2020 was heavy with a swarm in my area. I am literally half a block from the Pacific. This queen wandered into my house! Most of the ant pages I have looked at suggest Camponotus semitestaceus, but I wanted consensus from those who know. Hope these photos aren't too terrible.

Something in tanaemyrmex. Not sure we can pull it to species yet considering how messy the subgenus is.

Camponotus sansabeanus, vicinus, and semitestaceus all produce queens that look like that. If I remember correctly the antennal scapes are the best way to distinguish the three. Fortunately, their care is nearly identical .
