IDK what this post turned into. I was bored for one day. A few days later this happens.

Oof. Yeah, I'm trying to do as much research as I can so I don't kill mine once I get them!
Venus fly traps will die with to much water to little water and if you put them in nice rich soil, also if you feed them even twice a week. Pitcher plants are best because they eat whenever can live in rich or normal soil and like humidity.

From my experience flytraps do fine with insects regularly but don't do well when they flower. Assuming were talking about sarracenia they are much easier than flytraps.
Plants r cool

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
I’m reading Journey to the West and that’s 2,065 pages lol.Yes. Get a kindle, and read like 3, 300 page books in a day. Escape from the insanity of the world.

Uh hate to break it to you guys, but venus flytraps actually go dormant in winter, so they are not useful for winter doldrums.
Many carnivorous plants have a winter dormancy. As with ants, the ones that don't are likely from tropical areas and elevations.

This is very true and most people think they are dead so they throw them away.
