Plaster Questions

I saw a YTer make a formicarium with plaster of paris. I thought that might dissolve in water and have other issues. Is it better to use hydrostone? Or does plaster of paris work too?

Hydrostone is better. It is more mold resistant and considerably harder, too.

plaster will only really work if you coat it in a thin layer of hydrostone or grout. that does help keep the formicarium cheaper, when you do that.
