that's a mini hearth type one which is super cool because of the top expansion, you can't mold it it is ytong so you have to carve it out the magnets keep the glass attached. I can tell you more about this once mine gets here in 2 weeks.
Also i would recommend these for smallish species because tarheelants makes them more compact than a cave like mini hearth, and the top expansion gives a good nesting place for a founding queen so it would actually be cool to make it like a station with a colony on the top and bottom, and plugging the holes, sorry I'm just thinking because i'm getting one of these and i think they are the coolest mini nest THA has.

Yep pretty cool. I think its AAC. But are magnets strong, can't there be small gaps. Won't silicon be better.

THA nests are made to have pretty good fit with the glass so medium to small-ish ants can't fit through. Also the removable glass makes it much easier to clean the nests once it's not in us and makes it easier to move colonies out.
I don't think these are ytong, ultracal is my guess.

I still havent got mine yet... But it is type 1 which i AAC or Ytong. I hope you guys know AAC is another name for ytong, or aerated brick. I plan on putting a ant species in here next year but for now I'll still check it out. Ill post pictures on here possibly if my order gets here soon.
i think these are firebrick. i saw one on the tarheelants site. it said they were made of firebrick.

Oh i didn't see that. Also to add to this is that like no one has one of these, literally no one... not a single video online explaining it or even people showing a glimpse of it in a video about their ants its literally like it doesn't exist.

All of his Type I nests are firebrick. Type III is generally better so that is why you see more of them.

Which is another name for Ytong. Stop confusing them.
firebrick=/=aac
ytong=aac
but aac=/=ytong
ytong is a brand name, aac is what the material actually is.
