so I was wondering are the feeder crickets okay to feed to ants from petco or petsmart? Has anyone had any problems?

I've done it before, no problems for me. However my local Pets Mart and Petco seem to be out of crickets all the time... I think it's COVID delivery related.

They are an excellent feeder. I think you can get better prices ordering online, though. Josh’s Frogs is a good seller.

Honestly if you don't feel like ordering something go to pet smart i repeat pet smart, one that isn't close or whatever that you haven tried going to yet and get like either 50 large or small crickets which in the end cost 5 dollars.

We don’t talk about that

Crickets are a good feeder, although in my experience they will die off within a few weeks of purchase even if fed (I believe it's a heat issue) so if you buy a ton, freeze them before then. I bought some from Petsmart and my ants had no issued with them.

They are an excellent feeder. I think you can get better prices ordering online, though. Josh’s Frogs is a good seller.

I’ve never had any problems with PetSmart crickets.

Crickets are my main feeder insect. They are juicy and packed with protein for your ants. The only slight problem is that they are very good at escaping your ants if fed live because they can jump and usually will still struggle if injured (legs cut off or squished), but i always tear them in half before feeding to make the ants job easier and expose the nutrient rich innards.
