1. Location (on a map) of collection: Placer County, CA

2. Date of collection: 10-15-20
3. Habitat of collection: Foresty, pine trees, bushes (back yard). Specifically collected from a lemongrass plant. 
4. Length (from head to gaster): 7-8mm - tough to get a good measurement
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Brown/Reddish/Orange head and legs, slightly hairy and large gaster, shiny thorax and gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Hairs on gaster seem to be row-like in the ridges, thorax seems to be made up of several different "plates", large head, mandibles and antenna

Crematogaster Laeviuscula I believe because of the body shape and color I could be wrong though but it is the best guess on where you found it.

cerasi is pure black, i think.

Crematogaster vary too much for anyone to ID species based off of this. C. cerasi can range from red to black.

The cerasi in their name means cherry colored. The head and thorax are often a reddish brown, so not pure black.

ahh. my bad. i guess they are just mainly black around here.

The size and color indicates what I already said but crematogaster are very hard to get a correct id so i would say crematogaster cf. Laeviuscula
