(This is for any of you in Southern California) since it is nearing P. imparis flight time I was wondering if any of you guys have special spots you like to hunt for them in. Any info would greatly appreciated.
-Thanks, ZTY

Hopefully this helps even if I'm on the other side of united states.
Same season as on the East Coast, we are on the same side of the Equator hahahaha. They won't start till January at the earliest. Look in the coastal mountains.
Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
ok, i will try that and when i said that the season was nearing i just meant because its getting close to december and that's when they start flying down here.
They don't fly in December, except to maybe just expel left over alates.
