I never looked into this, so I had no idea if you had considered it or if it were possibly to use glass syringes and just heat them for sterilizing (and I am also not sure what heating may do to this paste).

Maybe it will be an idea to re-visit 10 years in the future.  :D

If you get containers that can withstand being pressure cooked you can very easily sterilize things that way. Maybe small glass jars?

Edit: I'm pretty sure Blue is agar based with whey and egg proteins...I think that can withstand heat fairly well. I know I have pressure cooked agar before. The dye may not be so stable...

Haha.  Yeah, I know Solenopsis do well with it.  Thanks for sharing.

The experiment is over.

I'd like to thank everyone who participated in testing and using Formula Blue 100 over the past 2 years. It's now time to take the data obtained from all your feedback and make something that makes antkeeping even easier.

I know many of you continue to enjoy the convenience of Blue 100, and so I have retained some product that will be reserved for existing customers on request.

"Formula Blue 100" has been permanently discontinued.

A new "Blue" product is in development that uses protein derived entirely from fresh insects.

Until then, please feed your ants insects and Sunburst Ant Nectar.
