It would be preferable to have both administrators on their own Server......

As a new member of the server, I have found it to be a really nice place to hang around. The mods are hospitable and competent with their work, while the community is friendly and supportive. It also has some nice perks, such as not being overly moderated as some servers tend to be, and the presence of experienced identifiers.  There is one issue that I have with the server, which is the list of rules. In my opinion, I find that the disallowance of swearing takes away a lot of the enjoyability, which in turn makes chats with friends feel somewhat controlled https://i.imgur.com/dygjzxT.png. Overall, the AntsDakota discord server has a nice environment and lots of potential to grow, it just needs a few tweaks and rule changes/reworks (which is expected since it is a currently developing server).

It's nice being apart of the growth of the server, knowing that in the future we will look back here to see how far it has come.

Hello, Formiculture!

We at the AntsDakota Discord server have put up an Antkeeping Contest of sorts, where we all compete for the title of Camponotus-Master. Basically, at the start of the Camponotus nuptial flight season, we each will collect several queens. We will care for those colonies to the best of our ability, and on November 25th, when the contest closes, the person with the largest colony will win the title. We are considering doing something like this every year for different common genera. The two basic rules are:

1. No brood boosting queens.

2. Queens must be collected fresh this nuptial flight season.

We're also only allowing species of the subgera CamponotusTanaemyrmex and Myrmentoma to level the playing-fields, as species from subgenera like Myrmothrix aren't found in many states, and have an insane growth rate.

Here's some more in-depth info. We hope you will join us, and have fun in the process!

-The AntsDakota Team
