where would be good spots to go hunting for A. versicolor in California,  also any good places for other species would be greatly appreciated.

I would go to Joshua tree national park. There are tons of different ants there, acromyrmex tend to be by the most Joshua trees over there.

Lol I'll join you.
I mean there are other ants I could settle for and raise. The problem is my GF has a pretty strict ONE COLONY ONLY rule(I was lucky to even convince her of that) so I really want that one and only colony to count you know?

Our Virginia standardized tests are called SOLs, Standards of Learning. A truer name there is not.
