Do P. occidentalis have majors

I have read on multiple places that P. occidentalis are polymorphic, so do they have, minors, majors or both, or are they polymorphic at all? :thinking:  :thinking:  :thinking:  :thinking:  :thinking:

1X Solenopsis molesta 10 Workers (mono)

Ants I Want: Crematogaster sp, Camponotus Sp., Ponera Pennsylvanica, Mymercocystus sp.

Nope. Monomorphic completely.

No.  No majors.  The do come in LOADS of different sizes though.  Some are WAY bigger than others, and some are really small, but no majors/super majors/etc.  :)

1X Pogonomyrmex occidentalis 40-50 Workers

1X Solenopsis molesta 10 Workers (mono)

That would be Pogonomyrmex badius.

Yes, occidentalis do have noticeable size variations (I've experienced this in my colony), but no true majors. The size variations are enough to keep me happy, though.

Yes p. occidentalis can have small nanitics and then you can feed them and tell the difference from a nanitic and second generation easily even third generations are bigger than the second.

They still lack a major caste.

I'm pretty excited about these big larva/pupae I've seen. Not real majors, but big girls are coming.
