1. Location of collection: Simi Valley
2. Date of collection: 5-13
3. Habitat of collection: chaparral, sandy soil
4. Length (from head to gaster): 1-2mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Black
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Very tiny
 

Had a hard time focusing with my phone camera on this one, very small! Followed the trail to a hole in the ground. The velvety tree ants make these almost invisible!
