Will my pogonomyrmex occidentalis take baked seeds? I heard baking them kills the chance of sprouting so less worry about the seeds growing

If seeds sprout the nest is probably too wet.
I don't keep Pogonomyrmex, but my Messor sp. (European harvester ant genus) do like grass seeds, dandelion seeds and various bird seed mixes (for budgies, canary birds).

If you give them a dry spot in the nest they will put their seeds there to prevent sprouting.
I'm giving my Messor only chia seeds and they are doing good. They are in soil but nothing sprouts

Put your seeds in some kind of bottle cap, and the seeds will not sprout.
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
