Day 68-October 23, 2020

Not many changes since pupae stage are the longest, they laid new eggs and got more pupae.

Also moved them in an incubator heated with ptc heater at 29-30C(85F)

I really need to catch me some prenolepis next year to make up for not having these. I hope these do good in that nest they look so cool and so does the nest. If you don’t mind can you attach a link to where u got that from I wanna see how much it would be to get over here.
We don’t talk about that

Wow custom made I like them, I really wish we had honeypots in va they are so cool.

Why don't you get a permit(after getting some experience)? If I get them it would be at least after 3 years of ant keeping or even more, cuz I'm newbie lol.

I would research and raise prenolepis first and then buy from someone that has a permit or if I have one. Permits cost a lot.

To get them the sender doesn't need his own permit. You get a permit and send the copy of that permit to the seller so he can show it in postal service or something like that. I thought they are free!?

They only cost money if you apply for a species out of the US I'm pretty sure. Btw, Prenolepis is pretty hard too.

Yea I’ll still do my best. AleeGuy at the sender or receiver needs a permit to be able to get it so if I had a permit I could get anything I wanted but if someone had a permit in their shop I could only get what they could ship to me in their shop. if that makes sense.
We don’t talk about that

No receiver should get a permit and send the copy of that permit to the sender. I'm not sure you have to send a copy of that permit but ik that only receiver should have a permit

Prenos like cold while M. Mexicanus live in a dessert which is typically hard to raise both but very hard to raise through founding.
We don’t talk about that

Prenos aren’t that hard to found. Just keep them at room temp. Pots are what’s hard to found. Prenos seen to never get past their second year in captivity.
