A long waited ant species arrived today out of nowhere. It's fall and on every nuptial flight chart, they say that this species had flight.
I was little disappointed, I thought I missed them, but, today, for no good reason, I went to see what they're doing, maybe take few photos of majors / super majors and return.
There is tens of nests in very small area, hole next to hole... few holes, had bigger concentration of workers, so I focused my attention and out of nowhere, there was a queen, wingless, amongst the workers.
I didn't had anything to collect her into, so I had to keep her in my hand until i come home, which went fine.
Since they are polygynous, I collected three workers too, minor, media and major, there was no super majors to be collected.
