POPULAR

I don't think I ever posted an intro, so here goes.

I am a 58 year old lady from the high desert of California, and I've been anting since I was 14!  Didn't always get it right, but I spent years devoted to giving it the old college try, learning about ants and going after that Pogonomyrmex queen ( not believing she was five feet down, yeah, I learned eventually! ).

After years of being a dummy and digging up and wrecking the lives of my beloved ants, I realized that new queens were the way to go.

Now all these years later, the miracle of ant buying and selling through the mail and online has made me a very happy anter  :)

I never would have believed I could just buy a colony online. Amazing!!

I love the Pogonomyrmex fam best of all, even after all the (well deserved) stings through the years, as I assaulted the poor girls (with good - if selfish - intentions).

I am now surrounded by ants, and that is exactly how I like it.

A big thank you to those who have sold me the beauties I have right now, and be sure, I will be buying more!

Milly

You live where Acromyrmex versicolors are. Any time you want to trade some A.v.'s for some Pogonomyrmex, I am always open for such trade.

Try not to hijack threads.

It depends on where you live and how your building is made.

Try to look for it

Did she escape a test tube in your house you mean, or something like that? The best way to find one is BIG lights and get down on hands and knees!

Welcome! I am so glad you found this awesome forum!
