Not much to update you guys on, she’s been taking in food like a champ(so far only spider eggs and the occasional centipede caviar), and is doing well in a modified snap cap petri-dish like nest. I felt that a Petri dish nest was way to big for her, and a snap cap was perfect size. She made a little crater-like chamber in one side using the coco fiber I layered in there, and overall is doing very well, although no eggs yet. Pictures will come soon, most probably this weekend.

Edit: Meant to add in that I will be attempting to feed her ant eggs, not sure what species yet. This way I could easily supply her off of a non-hibernating species such as molesta in a captive colony.

that is all they eat!?!

She appeared to actively scavenge geophilid centipedes and other select invertebrate eggs, although I’m not sure she was actively eating/getting the proper nutrition from them. This may have lead to her death.
