tetramorium in a desert terrarium?

hi i was thinking of designs for my terrarium and thought of a desert biome. how does tetramorium fare in that sort of habitat?

I don't think tetramorium really like nestung in sand. Unless you live in Arizona and have the desert dwelling T. hispidum that is.

Here where I live all the soil is a sand/clay mixture and they nest in that.

i was thinking about using the aus ants ant safe ant sand. how will that do?

Very poorly. T immigrans don't like sand all that much, it seems. Much less a desert type setup.
