Hello everyone!

I'm brand new to this forum and to the hobby, but I figured it would be the right place to come to make this kind of request.

I live in Broome County, New York (I would rather not give my exact location within the county) and I am looking to acquire a native species of ant for a beginner like myself!  :)

I haven't had any luck finding any myself, so I figured I'd reach out and see who/what I can find. I'm hoping to maybe get my hands on a queen with some or no brood so that I may experience the entire process myself.

Thank you all so much for any help/pointers you can provide  :)

Try to find a group of new yorkers and create a group with them for the trading of ants. Or go to antscanada and look at the gan project: https://www.antscana...-ants-for-sale/

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
