Froze a termite and gave it to my Veros but then they started walking funny. Did they get poisoned by something on it?
They are kind of walking with their legs spread out low to the floor/sand.

Probably not the termite itself, but, maybe something that touched the termite after death, or a completely unrelated factor. termites are very sensitive, so if it would make ants do something funny, it would prob have already killed the termite.
Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
They seem to be alright now. Termite seemed healthy. Not sure why they reacted like that. They definitely cleaned themselves for a while after I gave it to them. Queens look unaffected.
