Hey guys!
I know ants absolutely love bread. But bread molds extremely fast. Do you all give your ants bread?
Thanks!

I mean, its not exactly resource rich. I would not feed it just for that. Plus some ants can be very picky.
My Ants:
(x1) Campontous semitstaceus ~20 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Camponotus vicinus ~10 workers, 1 Queen (all black variety)
(x1) Tetramorium immigrans ~100 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Myrmercocystus mexicanus -1 Queen
(x2) Mymercocystus mimcus -1 Queen
(x1) Mymercocystus testaceus ~45 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Campontous semitstaceus ~20 workers, 1 Queen

(x1) Myrmercocystus mexicanus -1 Queen

I could see Tetramorium getting into bread, but they eat anything. Tapinoma eat it in my kitchen.

I might have some picky Tetras. I have thought about bread but figure there are more nutritional options.

When your colony gets bigger and has 5,156 larvae, they’ll eat any dang thing. It’s the only way they can sustain that kind of growth.I might have some picky Tetras. I have thought about bread but figure there are more nutritional options.

Everyone's like "ants ruin picnics, also don't leave food on the counter" but when you actually raise them you know the pain of them not eating perfectly good food.

My 11-queen S. molesta colony is ignoring a freshly defrosted grasshopper at the moment

I’m going to try giving mine some tonight. I bet they’d love Goldfish/Cheez-Its crumbs like my Tetramorium do.
