The family and I are camping and found a few queens. It's in a fairly wooded spot in julian.

Camponotus semitstaceus or possibly Camponotus sansabeanus.

My Ants:
(x1) Campontous semitstaceus ~20 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Camponotus vicinus ~10 workers, 1 Queen (all black variety)
(x1) Tetramorium immigrans ~100 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Myrmercocystus mexicanus -1 Queen
(x2) Mymercocystus mimcus -1 Queen
(x1) Mymercocystus testaceus ~45 workers, 1 Queen

Also found what looks like a major ant from the same species, within a few feet from where I found the queens. Hope it helps with the ID. I also found a large but smaller than the major ant with similar coloring, but didn't have my phone to capture a picture

C. semitestaceus, they’ve been flying lately. C. sansabeanus flew almost a month ago
