1. Location (on a map) of collection: Portland, Oregon
2. Date of collection: August 21, 2020
3. Habitat of collection: Walking along edge of pool
4. Length (from head to gaster):1/4"
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Red with stripes on the gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Red antanne
7. Distinguishing behavior:
8. Nest description: Unknown

9. Nuptial flight time and date: August 21, 2020
 

Hopefully if this a queen she is fertilized.  :)  Sorry for all the pics.  I'm not very good a close-ups and she kept moving around.

Tetramorium immigrans

Formica cf. pallidefulva, cf. incerta, cf. argentea

Formica cf. aserva, cf. subintegra

Pogonomyrmex occidentalis

Pheidole bicarinata

Myrmica sp.

Lasius neoniger, brevicornis

Ants I have: Tapinoma sessile(2 queen colony). RED MORPH Camponotus neacticus(now has pupae!), Tetramorium immigrans (x3), Aphaenogaster sp, Temnothorax sp, Brachymyrmex sp.   possibly infertile   :(,  Ponera pennsylvanica, and Pheidole morrisi!  :yahoo: 

 

Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen

                    

Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: Pheidole morrisii

Yeah probably, maybe some honey or something. It would help to give her an outworld.

Yes, or put her in a founding formicarium like a mini heart.

Ants I have:

1 Formica fusca group- 0 workers

1 Tetramorium immigrans colony-20 workers

1 Dorymyrmex insanus- 1 queen, used to have workers

 

1 large P. occidentalis colony- around 50 workers, plenty of brood

Thank you all for the suggestions.  Do you think an AC test tube portal would be a good choice?  ( Or would that be too exposed and stressful?  I have one on hand which is why I ask.  ;)

I think it would be fine, but if you want, you could cover the test tube from light if your really worried.
