Accidentally spilled water into mini hearth outworld

I’m an idiot and spilled a small bit of water into my mini hearths outworld. Now the glass is digging up and I can see the water has spread all around the outworld. How do I fix this?

like pooling up or just being soaked in?

 

do you have ants in it?

 

probably not a big deal if it isn't pooling up and flooding ants

 

by digging I assume you mean fogging, if its the outworld, can you crack the lid a bit  to allow more airflow and release some of the humidity? or if you have fluon, just take the lid off completely for a bit, if you are worried.

Sorry my phone autocorrected. I have Pogonomyrmex Barbatus inside of it and the glass inside of the nest is fogging up. I just took off the lid. It’s not pooling it’s soaked into the grout that they used for the outworld

You’ll just need to let it air out. Gentle airflow from a fan would speed things up. Hopefully Pogonomyrmex can’t scale the acrylic box.

If they’re anything like occidentalis that won’t be an issue. I’ve seen elephants that could climb glass better

Ants I have:

1 Formica fusca group- 0 workers

1 Tetramorium immigrans colony-20 workers

1 Dorymyrmex insanus- 1 queen, used to have workers

 

1 large P. occidentalis colony- around 50 workers, plenty of brood

Yeah Pogonomyrmex barb cannot climb plastic or glass at all

I wouldn't underestimate barbatus' climbing abilities. They tend to be ever so slightly better than the rest of the genus.

They can climb up the tubing, but when they moved in they tried to get up the acriclic and they couldn’t

My occidentalis could climb tubing as well, but not the acrylic walls of their mini hearth.
