1. Location (on a map) of collection: Fitchburg, MA
2. Date of collection: August 23, 2020
3. Habitat of collection: Driveway
4. Length (from head to gaster): ~7mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Dark brown- black. Light brown legs.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: 
7. Distinguishing behavior: Fast (for a queen). Good climber.
8. Nest description: N/A

9. Nuptial flight time and date: I saw many males flying around the area where I caught her around 10:30 this morning.

Lasius americanus would be a good guess. But it's hard to distinguish species within the niger group. I would call it Lasius cf. americanus.

I'd be happy just knowing if it was parasitic or not, to be honest. I've caught so many parasitic Lasius this year. An easy one would be nice to catch.
