My name is Damon but to a lot of people i just go by Chris and since i was about 6 years old i have always been fascinated by ants drowned a couple colonies and  even did ye old trick of setting them on fire with a magnifying glass 17 years later and a bunch of Ants Canada later I've come to love the little guys though i have murdered possibly thousands of ants in cold blood lol i promise I'm doing my best to keep them alive now if you see me on the chat say hi promise i won't put your ants under my magnifying glass lol. Still pretty new any advice helps!

Hey! You’re going to learn a ton, antkeeping is just awesome. One thing to know is that the care guides on this site are usually more accurate than ants Canada videos. I don’t know how new you are, but I’ve found Formica fusca to be a relatively easy species to care for.

Ants I have:

1 Formica fusca group- 0 workers

1 Tetramorium immigrans colony-20 workers

1 Dorymyrmex insanus- 1 queen, used to have workers

 

1 large P. occidentalis colony- around 50 workers, plenty of brood

(x1) Myrmercocystus mexicanus -1 Queen
(x2) Mymercocystus mimcus -1 Queen
(x1) Mymercocystus testaceus ~45 workers, 1 Queen
