hi I dug up a pheidole colony in the desert yesterday

they are large sp and big majors and small workers and super aggressive pics soon

3-2-22 there queen has laid lots 250+ eggs lots of lava  25 workers there diet has been  honey dudia roaches  and 2-3 dead camponotus workers

how big exactly was the colony originally?


1X Pogonomyrmex occidentalis 40-50 Workers

1X Solenopsis molesta 10 Workers (mono)

Ants I Want: Crematogaster sp, Camponotus Sp., Ponera Pennsylvanica, Mymercocystus sp.

how big exactly was the colony originally?

30 workers there could have been more  underground  i found them under a rock

I would just catch a queen when they start to fly, but hey you do what you want.

I would like to catch a queen when they fly but I live 2 hours away form the desert where the colony was found and I hope to find a queen when they fly

All of the lava from last update are pupa
Most of the eggs have hacht in to new lava

Food they like are ant crumbles honey
Mabey sugar water and humming brid nectar
Dubiaroaches fresly killed mealworms some times drid blood worm
