Hot and humid night

What on earth are these ants? They are super speedy and skinny.

Also last time I thought I found a cyphomyrmex queen except now I found more??? Do cyphomyrmex have different casts? Some are bigger than others but both appear to be workers. They came out of a hole so I'm pretty sure they're all workers

Queen I got ID last time.

I could be dead wrong, but it looks like the first workers you found are an Aphaenogaster species. I also didn’t know that the size for Cyphomyrmex queens could vary so much, however it would make sense since some queens just happen to be bigger than others for whatever reason.

The first group of workers are Doryline and almost certainly Neivamyrmex sp. You can tell by the characteristic cane-like bend of the tree trunk they have for a funiculus.

Neivamyrmex nigriscens, and Cyphomyrmex wheeleri. Looks like they are indeed gynes, Cyphomyrmex are monomorphic. Either dewinged alates acting as workers or the colony has too many queens and just uses the ones lower down in the hierarchy as workers.

Should I keep them? I mean they aren't queens from a nuptial flight so they're useless right?

Worker ants around the globe: Ouch, aren’t we all interesting not just the queens.. : (

But yeah you can release them back to where you found them. Or keep them, whatever suits you, they only are workers so yeah. Unless it’s a small colony where you probably would want to release them in that case back to the colony so they can grow.
My Ants:
(x1) Campontous semitstaceus ~20 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Camponotus vicinus ~10 workers, 1 Queen (all black variety)
(x1) Tetramorium immigrans ~100 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Myrmercocystus mexicanus -1 Queen
(x2) Mymercocystus mimcus -1 Queen
(x1) Mymercocystus testaceus ~45 workers, 1 Queen

I would keep the queens in a tube for a while to see if she lays anything. But she probably doesn't have a fungus pellet.

Well for some reason they all died. No idea why. They were in a test tube. Doesn't matter though because they would have starved without fungus.
