Hey guys!

Well, I have a Formica colony that I caught this year, and they have one worker, and 6 new workers coming soon. They’re in a test tube now, but I’m thinking about housing when they grow out of the test tube. I like this Fortress formicarium made by THA: https://tarheelants....oducts/fortress. But I’m wondering if this is a good choice for Formica, and what is the least amount of workers that can fit in there without them feeling like it is to big? Thanks!

Get a Mini Hearth XL. The Fortress may be a bit large, but should work fine. Formica do fine in THA nests.

Ok so, besides those. Anything else besides huge ants like Myrmecia.

Never tried, but have a hunch leafcutters such as Acromyrmex versicolor would do quite well in a THA setup. If it ever rains this season and they fly, I am going to give it a try.
