Why are the colonies left in hibernation so late?
It was just a little over four months.
Update 12-3-2018
A couple months ago I found the queen of the large colony dead.
As for all of the new colonies from Spring of 2018, they are growing like crazy. The largest one is probably one of the five that have over 50 workers.
