I know there are not many ant keepers in Louisiana but I would really like to purchase a queen/starter colony because I have had no luck on my own (all I can find is S. Invicta and even then all 3 of my attempts failed, just bad luck I believe, 2 were a few years ago one was recently who I didn't check on for 3 weeks and when I did saw she had died) and keeping S. invicta is of no interest to me anyway because I live n a big family and those guys escaping could be very bad. Anyway, does anyone have any ants they don't want around my area? Any Louisianians have any advice on finding queens?
