Hey guys,

So a friend and I have a total of a little more than 20 pogonomyrmex occidentalis queens that we know are all fertile.  We obviously don't need all of them so we are going to try and sell them, (via formiculture).  Tarheel Ants sells his at $61 usd for one queen and brood, plus extra for shipping, (no less than $10 usd, usually more).  What do you think is a fair price to sell these ants? :)

Their value is extremely subjective. Are you trying to make money? Are you trying just get rid of them? Maybe they're worth $5, maybe $50. At the end of the day they're worth whatever you can sell them for.

Ants I have:

1 Formica fusca group- 0 workers

1 Tetramorium immigrans colony-20 workers

1 Dorymyrmex insanus- 1 queen, used to have workers

 

1 large P. occidentalis colony- around 50 workers, plenty of brood
