How do you keep ants at a cool enough temp. for them to hibernate? Keep them outside, fridge?  I'm getting different things on the internet, so I'll just ask here.

Depends on the species. Seeing as you live in Colorado, where the winters get pretty chilly, I think a wine cooler/refrigerator would work well for you.

I’ve used a mini-fridge and an unheated basement successfully in the past. Anywhere that stays between 40-50 degrees is fine.

What kind of mini fridge have you had success with, ANTdrew? I'm looking to get one since my own fridge is a tad too cold and everything else is becoming too volatile in temperature. My garage is almost at freezing and then warm, and then near freezing, each winter, now.

I’m not sure the brand, but it’s just one of those little cube ones college kids use in their dorms.
