So today I caught a pogonomyrmex occidentalis queen (dealate).  I am currently housing it waiting for it to lay eggs but it has a piece of dirt about the size of her head stuck to her thorax.  I'd rather not disturb her much, but I don't know if I should remove it or not.  It seems like she would move it by herself?  Not a huge deal, but just wanted some suggestions on whether to leave her be or try to remove it.

It's probably best to leave her be. There's no point to stressing her, and once she gets workers those'll clean her on a regular basis and probably get rid of the dirt.
