Hey guys, I was just wondering if hot glue is safe for ants. I'm making a DIY area to house queens and need to glue in some dividers. I was getting mixed results online so I just decided to ask you guys.

Ants I have:

1 Formica fusca group- 0 workers

1 Tetramorium immigrans colony-20 workers

1 Dorymyrmex insanus- 1 queen, used to have workers

1 large P. occidentalis colony- around 50 workers, plenty of brood

It is safe, but some ants can easily chew through it. 100% silicone is more escape proof.

Alright, thank you. It shouldn't be a huge deal if they do chew through it because I'm only using it to seperate to queens that are temporarily in a plastic container using paper and hot glue. (I'm out of test tubes and getting some tomorrow.) Just needed to make a quick temporary set up.
