Yes, he makes a little hole in the side from which a tube protrudes, and subsequently protrudes out of the formicarium.

Does anyone know the gauge and size of the blunt tip for the syringe? I've been scouring the internet but can't seem to find anything.

Try these: link

They will fit most small tubing, just be sure to clean and sanitize them before use.

EDIT: The needles are the same size

They have multiple sizes so they will fit pretty much any type of small tubing, just be sure to clean and sanitize them before use.

So I checked out the link and it's a listing for 5 20 gauge blunt tipped needles. Which if that works for the tha water tower then that answers my question. However it does not list multiple sizes. Have you bought this exact listing and used them to refill your tha water tower?

I have not used them, but they should fit THA's tubing size. The needles themselves are less then 1 mm wide, outside dimensions, and THA's water tubes are about 1.5-2 mm I.D.

The needles are sold on the THA website. They are called blunt tip adapters or something.

Yeah, as much as I love Mack and all his products, I'm also very poor and can't afford those price mark ups. For instance, I could buy 1 from him for 2.99 or get a 5 pack off Amazon for 5.99. Don't fret, he's getting my money regardless due to his expert craftsmanship. But if I can save a buck or two on accessories along the way would be a huge help.

Oh I completely understand. I would have done the same if I knew you could buy them for less money.

He includes the needle, syringe, plugs, nestmates, and sometimes other accessories with the purchase of a nest. You don't need to buy a separate one from him or Amazon.

You wildly underestimate my ability to lose things.

When I got my mini hearth he gave me a syringe with no needle, so I don’t always count on him to remember everything.
