Ant id, Tappahanock Va, Lasius, Formica?

Caught
-9:40
-Outside in in yard covered on all sides by heavy wood.
-removed wings
-location Tappahanock, Va
-definitely queen ant not wasp.

Length would help considerably, as would color description because the picture isn’t showing the colors very clearly

Ants I have:
1 Formica fusca group- 0 workers
1 Tetramorium immigrans colony-20 workers
1 Dorymyrmex insanus- 1 queen, used to have workers
1 large P. occidentalis colony- around 50 workers, plenty of brood

I believe it to be Lasius sp., probably in the umbratus group, but I may be wrong.

Lasius social parasite in the subgenus Acanthomyops.

Ah, yes. I thought the gaster was at a weird angle, but I think you’re right. I’m not the best at IDing ants yet, and I only tried because no one else had commented

What are their host workers by chance?
Other lasius. Not too certain on preferred species.

I use Lasius americanus, which seem more receptive to social parasites.
