DIY test tube aspirator

We bought some 18mm test tubes that had threaded caps, just for the heck of it I decided to make an aspirator. drilled a couple holes in a cap to insert 1/4" tubing, i put a bit of steel mesh on one to serve as a filter. It works great but my favorite feature is the ease with which you can swap out the tubes.

the pics got flipped when i uploaded them but I'm honestly too lazy to fix it.

Ants I have: Tapinoma sessile(2 queen colony). RED MORPH Camponotus neacticus(now has pupae!), Tetramorium immigrans (x3), Aphaenogaster sp, Temnothorax sp, ~~Brachymyrmex sp.~~ possibly infertile , Ponera pennsylvanica, and Pheidole morrisi!

Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen

Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: ~~Pheidole morrisii~~

Ha, I've don't the same before but I just directly pinned the tube onto the rubber aspirator top using the protruding metal pieces (which were spaced at the exact width of the tube.)
