So I am going out to an EU home depot tomorrow to build some AAC nests in advance and I was wondering are these sponges they call household sponges in the store work.

I think it would work.
Ants I have: Tapinoma sessile(2 queen colony). RED MORPH Camponotus neacticus(now has pupae!), Tetramorium immigrans (x3), Aphaenogaster sp, Temnothorax sp, Brachymyrmex sp. possibly infertile , Ponera pennsylvanica, and Pheidole morrisi!
Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen
Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: Pheidole morrisii
Yes, probably fine. Just make sure they don’t have any antimicrobial chemicals added in. Read the label.
Also building AAC nests in advance isn't bad right and i'm not able to get a label right now so it will have to be tomorrow
