Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen
Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: Pheidole morrisii
hopefully that won't be too large for them, but I think this species adapts fairly easily.
Nice! I found that my queens ate more than half their eggs to use for food so the egg pile does translate directly to nanitics.

One thing to note with that nest; that appears to be THA type 1, or ytong. Tetramorium can chew straight through that stuff. While they may not at first, once they start thinking they need more space, they'll make more space themselves. Just a heads up.
That sounds like a better idea to me.Or I put my Aphaenogaster colony in that formicarium and get a different one for them
"God made..... all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds (including ants). And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25 NIV version

Tub and tubes set ups are the best for these in my experience.Any recommendations for a decent nest for these?
