RIP. Also, why did the argentines remove the legs, not eat the more nutricious gaster and thorax?

I dunno, I just saw her getting her legs get pulled off onto the sand, where they took them into a bush. They were carrying the rest of the body though slower. Then I got a stick and got the poor queen. I was gonna record it but I wanted to see if I could still save her, sadly no .RIP. Also, why did the argentines remove the legs, not eat the more nutricious gaster and thorax?
If only I had been there a few minutes before I could have got her.

That’s to bad you couldn’t save her, valiant effort though. That’s one of my favorite sp of Pheidole

Judging by the missing legs, I think the argentines gave her a RIP too.

Argentines simply kill like that. Youll see that pretty much every ant they kill gets dismembered, the argentines will pull on the prey and spread eagle them, ripping off the limbs. When my Formica got attacked all workers had their antennae and legs removed, queen had both antennae clipped.
