Hello yet again!
Temnothorax pergandei seems to be one of the more unusual Temnothorax species, as it almost resembles a miniature Aphaenogaster queen. Unlike most other Temnothorax around here, this species appears to fly in the evening during daylight hours, which makes them significantly harder to find since I can't attract them to my black-light. I will likely never come across another one of these queens, so I'll do my best to raise this one colony.

This queen has a surprising number of eggs, although she will likely eat a few later on as went in Arron's journal of this species. I may try and feed her some honey when she gets pupae because she is already beginning to look like a semi-claustral queen, although I don't even know if she has any larvae yet.
