So I decided to start a journal of the ants I have.

Tetra queen #1: 10 medium sized larvae!  :)

Tetra queen #2:  6 decent larvae!  :)

Tetra queen #3+4: Around a hundred eggs!  :)

Tetra queen #5: Around 10 eggs.  :)

Tetra queen #6: Nothing yet.

Colobopsis sp: Nothing, not sure if she is fertile.  :(

Camponotus nearcticus: 1 pupae, 3 larvae and 2 eggs!  :)

Solenopsis sp: 2 queens: Nothing, might not be fertile. :(

Temnothorax sp: Nothing.

Pheidole cf. morrisi:   20 eggs!(put cf because she is around 7 millimeters.)

Ponera pennsylvanica: nothing.

Tapinoma sessile(2 queens): 200 workers and lots of larvae and pupae!  :)

I will post some pics once my macro lens arrives!

Wow didn’t know she had 40! And solonopsis molesta need a host colony so you can go in your backyard and find a grease ant colony to steal from.

Sry not 40, that was a mistake  and the Solenopsis molesta actually don't need any hosts, as they are fully claustral.

Solenopsis molesta does not need a host colony. They are called thief ants because they steal other ants’ brood, however, they will do just fine on a regular ant diet as well.

Give the Ponera queen substrate. I don’t think they will found without it and they could die.

What a nice list of species! I can’t wait for the P. morrisii! Also, that Temnothorax queen looks very undernourished, you should probably offer her some honey before attempting to found her.

I fed my nearcticus a dead cricket yesterday, the queen rushed out, bit it, and sprayed formic acid but the nanitic just ran around.

don't expect anything else from founding Camponotus. They're very cautious and spray pretty much everything. I had a queen charge out and fall to the floor

The Myrmentoma queens sure are feisty! My subbs do the same thing, which is why I gave them an outworld.
