1. Location of collection: Agua Dulce, CA (Vasquez Rocks) Wandering across animal trail
2. Date of collection: 4/12/2015
3. Habitat of collection: desert scrub
4. Length (from head to gaster): 7 mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: It looks black to the naked eye, but see photos.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Smooth, shiny head. Single petiole.  Most hairs towards back of thorax and Gaster. Dark indent on top of head, evolutionary remains of ocelli? Dark, medium size round eyes. 12 Antennal segments.
7. Anything else distinctive: Short masticatory margin at mandibles.
8. Nest description: Did not observe.
