Nice pictures. And, yes, as long as you have a macro lens and a camera that can install it, you can do amazing stuff with it. I do have the same macro lens you have but my camera isn't compatible with it, so I am waiting until Xmas of this year to use my Xmas fund and get me a DSLR.

Crystals: It is not that hard you just have to practice a little bit at the beginning until you have the knack.

 

dean_k: So you probably have a compact camera without a filter thread. Some shops offer adapters which provide filter threads for these compact cameras.
