Update. V. andrei queens are doing well. The productive one has 2 workers. The others have various stages of brood. Pogonomyrmex are dead. Not surprised about that. V. pergandei are growing super fast. Pics later.

V. pergandei are growing strong. Might make them a CatsnAnts style nest soon. What size, depth, tunnel shape, etc. would you recommend? V. andrei are doing awesome. Sold 1 colony still have 2 for sale.

V. pergandei continue to grow. I think I might sell them. OhNoNotAgain's journal scares me. I can't afford a THA XXXXXLLLL Pioneer. I saw a wild colony in the desert. SCARY BIG.  :o  Sold most of my V. andrei.  My personal colony lost a few workers but gained a few as well.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! One of the Vero queens was on the trash pile. Her front legs were missing. She appears to be barely alive but is basically dead. I don't know why she died. However I'm guessing she's the queen I always noticed upside down in the test tube. Strangely she's been acting like that for months and just now died. Rip.

About time I update this. I made a CatsnAnts style grout nest a long time ago and moved the pergandei in. They are doing pretty good it. Andrei are slowly growing still.

Pergandei are doing alright although I'm stupid and didn't water enough leading to a queen dying. Andrei won't grow. They are basically a bonsai colony. Went anting a week or two ago and caught some P. calis that now have eggs and one has a larvae.

Since people are talking about formiculture "dying", here's an update to help combat that. My pergandei are doing great and are at the size I want them to be. If I fed more they would be out of control so I keep them at this size so they're manageable. They've recently gotten really large workers as well.
