What are those green stuff on deceased ants/termites?

Lasius Neoniger (Around 23ish workers)

Tetramorium Immigran (8 Workers)

Myrmica Queen (Not 100% on species)

Formica Subsericea (No workers)

Yeah, sorry for being hostile. I suggest making a new rule: Only ask questions of which you cannot find on a simple google search or on Crystal's guide. Might be a personal issue, but it makes me kind of mad that so many people of the forum put in the effort to answer this guy's questions but he makes ZERO effort to find any of the info on his own.

Forums are for asking questions. Also, many people don’t have a ton of experience when it comes to antkeeping because antkeeping isn’t something that you can look up with a quick google search! Try looking up a care guide for a specific species. Doubt you’ll find one. Also, termites are rarely used as feeders for anything, so a quick google search might not even help.

 

Ok, but the cause of the problem was that he didn't use proper prekilling procedure in the slightest, which IS a very easy thing to search up. If you check a lot of hightlyze's questions they are EASILY findable with a simple google search. And your point on the termites is kind of moot, since the problem is the improper prekill procedure, and green mold on stuff is pretty universal, and if he typed "how to prekill insects into google" he could've avoided this problem in 15 seconds.

I read the whole journal.....


Ants I have: Tapinoma sessile(2 queen colony). RED MORPH Camponotus neacticus(now has pupae!), Tetramorium immigrans (x3), Aphaenogaster sp, Temnothorax sp, Brachymyrmex sp.   possibly infertile   :(,  Ponera pennsylvanica, and Pheidole morrisi!  :yahoo: 

 

Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen

                    

Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: Pheidole morrisii
