ID Request: Just found in a graveyard FFS

Hi all, please find attached a really big ant (worker I think) found in a graveyard!! There was one or 2 just flying around but couldn’t see where they came from?

Well, nuptial flights should start in a few weeks.

"God made..... all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds (including ants). And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25 NIV version

 

Keeping:

Tetramorium immigrans

Formica cf. pallidefulva, cf. incerta, cf. argentea

Formica cf. aserva, cf. subintegra

Definitely try to find Formica queens if you can.

I believe for everywhere. They usually fly in July and August.

(x1) Camponotus vicinus ~10 workers, 1 Queen (all black variety)
(x1) Tetramorium immigrans ~100 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Myrmercocystus mexicanus -1 Queen
(x2) Mymercocystus mimcus -1 Queen
(x1) Mymercocystus testaceus ~45 workers, 1 Queen

I am not sure of the chance of finding F. Fusca Queens in the U.K.
I believe they are a common species though.

But I was just wishing you good luck
My Ants:

Are there laws against keeping Formica there? I know there are in other parts of Europe.

I believe that only applies to parasitic Formica in most countries. There are a couple that ban all Formica, but I don’t believe the UK is one of them.
