Sorry, there was an actual post, but then I realized how controversial it would be. I couldn't figure out how to delete the topic. So, I just deleted its contents.

Ah, ok. I understand. Unfortunately, there's no real way do delete a post other than saying [deleted] or doing what you did (there are, however, some people who even find that insufficient). Maybe if we all had a format for deleting posts... like, saying [deleted] and then saying what it was deleted for. For example, you could say [Deleted - Too controversial].
Thx for understanding!
Maybe we need an actual method of deleting threads. I think a lot of people have this issue at some point, whether it be a double post, something too controversial, a marketplace post that is completely obsolete, etc.
Currently keeping:
Tetramorium immigrans, Pogonomyrmex occidentalis
Myrmica punctiventris, Formica subsericea
Formica pallidefulva, Aphaeogaster cf. rudis
Camponotus pennsylvanicus
Camponotus nearcticus
Crematogaster cerasi
Temnothorax ambiguus
Prenolepis imparis
I think the main problem with having the ability to delete replies/threads, as with all things, is misuse. However, the only people I could think of on this forum that would misuse such a system are new users who might not be acquainted with everything yet.
