Caught today during a large flight around 5-7
Caught a bunch of these, this winged one was the only one who stayed still so it was good for pictures
Spike on back of mid-section, which from my limited knowledge this rules out P. Cali
Polygenous/pleometric, when placed together are friendly
Found in an area where I have ID'd workers before, with the best guess for the workers being P. Subnitidus, so hoping these are of that species
LA area, chaparral
Color: Dark red to red-orange maybe?
Length: 8-9 mm
Again, my best guess is subnitidus, any help is appreciated!
